Marjorie Sandler, Principal

Marjorie Sandler has been an educator for 32 years and has taught at all grade levels. She began her administrative career in 2001 and was chosen to be the principal of Gorrie Elementary in 2008. As a graduate of the University of South Florida for both Undergraduate and Graduate degrees, she is proud to be at a school with rich tradition, history and, most important, high academic standards that help students secure a successful future.

Lauren Kiernan, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Kiernan earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Florida State University and her M. Ed. in Educational Leadership from The University of South Florida. Mrs. Kiernan began her career in Tallahassee in a Varying Exceptionalities classroom. Before coming to Gorrie Elementary, she taught in the classroom for several years in Hillsborough County and then became a Peer Evaluator, allowing her to work with and train hundreds of teachers while observing best practices in education during the course of this position.
